"Backyard Conservation Poster Campaign" Posters will be placed around Mahoning County in local libraries, schools, parks, township halls, businesses, auto part stores, and many more. The posters have four main themes to include: Car Washing, Fertilizers, Pet Waste, and Motor Oil. The main purpose of these posters is to get residents to think about conservation on a more personal level. To get one of these wonderful posters for your business please contact us. Cost Share Programs: The Mahoning SWCD is proud to provide some great programs that are available to residents of the Mill Creek Watershed. These programs are to aid residents to preserve and protect their personal property by the means of Conservation Easements and Riparian Buffer Plantings. For more information on these programs and how they can improve property values, please see our "Watershed Information" page. You may also download the application below. Rainwater and Development: REVISED MANUAL RELEASED The revised edition of Rainwater and Land Development - Ohio's Standards for Stormwater Management, Land Development, and Stream Protection has been released. The new manual has improved coverage of Best Management Practices (BMPs) and their effectiveness, and includes more standard drawings and illustrations. "Post-construction" stormwater BMPs are also highlighted. For more information about how copies of the manual can be downloaded or ordered, please contact our office at (330) 740-7995.
